a first; making macarons

Today was my little sister's last day of school, and I promised her that I would make macarons with her (which basically means, I make it and she watches it lololol)

Originally she wanted pink macarons but unfortunately we had no red food colouring ;___;
So we just used any colour, and it ended up a mint-greenish colour.

The filling was dark chocolate ganache.

My first batch was SO TERRIBLE, I left it in the oven for too long and then it cracked and stuck to the silicone mat. I CRY.

This was the best one of the first batch, they turned out a little flat.
the dark chocolate ganache looks like black goop hehe.

My second batch turned out a lot better, but note the ones that exploded and spread too much, lol. But feet! Feet appeared and that's a macaron maker's dream come true.

Finished result!
The only disappointing thing is that I don't actually like eating macarons.
They're too sweet for my liking and so they're kinda still sitting there hahahaha.

A word of advice,

Use the world ending conspiracy theory as an excuse to do things you usually wouldn't find yourself doing. Of course the world is not ending, but just think about it, there probably is the slightest possibility that the word could end at any point.
Perhaps Vogons will destroy Earth to make way for a hyperspace bypass.
Whatever happens, take this opportunity to do something.
Confess to an old crush,
Dye your hair,
Eat at a really expensive restaurant,
Travel,
Wear something outrageous.

Whatever you're holding back, let it go.
Learn to live a bit more.
