Supreme Team & Primary; album exploration

I love creative packaging when it comes to albums.
What I like about the Korean music industry is that the physical album in itself is integral to the marketing. There's an emphasis on photo books, photo cards, stickers etc, limited edition material that adds a certain special something to just having an jewel case with a CD inside.

I'm a big fan of Supreme Team, I don't known any of their CDs, I think the only Supreme Team related CD I own is a Blue Brand compilation album, which features some of the most iconic and popular Korean Hip Hop acts.

(old photo)

I took the liberty of adding a Supreme Team album to my cart this time round and ordered their first full length album "Supremier" - it's a really solid album that combines an urban hip hop sound with some pop and r&b influences. And the physical album itself is so nice. You'll understand with the photos I'll post down below.

I also purchased Primary and the Messengers LP. I love Primary, and he also produced Supreme Team's Supremier, so haha, this has been a very Primary focused purchase. If you don't know who Primary is, he's a rapper and hip hop producer. These days he's known more as a producer under Amoeba Culture and his iconic look is that he has a large cardboard box head.

The case comes with a red band to hold it together, I quite like it.
The album art concept is an "amusement park" theme.
(and this is where the creative packaging comes in)

I absolutely love the attention to detail on the cover. Especially the ET reference.

The spread once you open the album up.
There's photo prints, a map and a ticket.

E-sens, Blanky Munn, Kang Minho. My favorite Korean rapper

To go with the amusement park theme of the album art,
the tracklist with credits is arranged on an amusement park map.

On the other side there's lyrics and some random photos of the boys enjoying their amusement park.
There's an aged effect on the entire map, and it's really quite nice.

The ticket to the "amusement park"

And now onto Primary's album.

Primary's head as the album cover.

The back cover, tracklist.

Inside

There's a cute postcard that is included with the album.

Underneath the CDs there's some artwork.

The album also has another fold out compartment where there's song credits etc
And a small blank notebook :D

It's made out of recycled paper!!

And now I just want to recommend a few tracks from each album.
From Supremier:

M.U.S.I.C ft Choiza from Dynamic Duo

Where To Go? (E-sens solo)

Happy Ending (feat. Jinsil and Gary from Leessang)

Some advice,

don't be afraid to branch out your music tastes.
You may never consider listening to entire genre
because you're convinced you will not like it,
but you never know,  there's always a good tune
that is worth exploring in a genre you might never touch.
